dismantle the appliance, using the proper tools;
remove the heat exchanger;
remove the motor module;
the appliance must be turned off and disconnected from the electrical power supply before starting work.
• The electrical system to which the appliance is connected must be in compliance with current regulations.
• The appliance must be wired to the power supply by way of a multipole isolating switch having a gap of no less than 3
mm between switch contacts.
• The appliance should be connected to the electrical power supply/socket only if the rated power of the system is equal
to the maximum power demand of the appliance. If not, contact a professional electrician without delay.
• Switch off the supply at the main switch:
if an operating fault is detected;
before cleaning the outside of the appliance;
if the appliance is not going to be used for any length of time.
• The appliance cannot be used to control water heater switches, heaters, etc.; neither must the outlet be connected to
the hot air ducts of these appliances.
• The appliance must expel air directly to the outside through a single dedicated duct.
• The flow of extracted air must be clean (i.e. free of grease, soot, chemical and corrosive agents or explosive and
flammable mixtures).
• Ensure the intake and outlet grilles of the appliance remain clear and unobstructed to ensure optimum air flow.
• The specifications of the power supply must match those on the data plate A (Fig.2).
Frame and equipment supplied
The 500 and 1000 m3/h versions are designed for horizontal ceiling installation (Hmax <= 350 mm for the 500 m3/h
model), whereas other versions with a built-in base frame are suitable for outdoor installation (in this instance the
appliance must be equipped with a rain shelter, which can be supplied as an accessory if requested at the time of placing
the order). Outdoor models are specified with panels of increased thickness (48 mm), designed to minimize heat loss.
All models are equipped with a drip tray positioned to collect condensate.
Outlet connections to the air ducts are of rectangular outline; adapters and couplings are available for connection to round
ducts (optional accessories).
The appliance is equipped with F7 filters on the "fresh air" side and F5 on the "return air" side. An additional and optional
filter can be installed internally of the appliance, in accordance with standard EN 13779.
1500 and 2000 models are equipped with protective meshes preventing access to the fan enclosure. This precaution is
necessary in view of the fact that the 48 mm thick panels fitted to outdoor models are secured to the frame by means of
clips that can be removed without the aid of tools.
Where installation is envisaged in extremely cold climates, all models can be equipped with an external preheater (optional
accessory); whatever the conditions, there is a low temperature safety limit beneath which the system will lock up
automatically.
