Description and use
The appliance you have purchased is a high efficiency heat recovery unit for commercial premises, which can be installed
indoors or outdoors, in a false ceiling or on a base frame (table in fig.1).
The appliance can operate at constant speed/constant pressure (all models) or constant speed/constant airflow (models
1000 - 1500 - 2000) (fig.1). The type of operation is factory-selected.

Safety
• Follow the safety instructions to prevent any harm to the user.
• Do not use this appliance for purposes other than those described in this booklet.
• Having removed the appliance from its packaging, make certain that it is intact and undamaged. If in doubt, consult a
professional or contact a Vortice authorised Technical Support Centre.
• Do not leave packaging within the reach of children or individuals with disabilities.
• Certain basic rules must always be observed when using any electrical appliance: never touch the appliance with wet or
damp hands; never touch the appliance when barefoot.
• This appliance is not suitable for use by children or by individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities,
or by inexperienced or untrained individuals, unless they are supervised or instructed in its use by a person responsible
for their safety. Children must always be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not operate the appliance in the presence of flammable vapours (alcohol, insecticides, petrol, etc.).
• If the appliance is to be disconnected from the power supply and no longer used, store it out of the reach of children and
individuals with disabilities.
• Do not modify the appliance in any way.
• The maintenance instructions must be followed to prevent any damage to and/or excessive wear and tear of the
appliance.
• Do not leave objects standing on the appliance.
• Cleaning inside the appliance must be entrusted only to a skilled service technician.
• Inspect the appliance periodically for visible defects. If the appliance does not function correctly, do not use it and
contact a Vortice authorised Technical Support Centre immediately.
• If the appliance does not function correctly or develops a fault, contact a Vortice authorised Technical Support Centre
immediately. Ensure that only genuine original Vortice spare parts are used for any repairs.
• If the power supply cable is damaged, have it replaced immediately by a Vortice authorised Technical Support Centre.
• Should the appliance be dropped or suffer heavy impact, have it checked immediately by a Vortice authorised Technical
Support Centre.
• The installation of the appliance must be entrusted to a skilled professional electrician.
• The appliance must be mounted in such a way as to ensure that under normal operating conditions, no one can come
into contact with any of the moving parts or live electrical components.
