6.1 Reset Alarm Procedure
This section describes the sequence associated with clearing both the status
light and the alarm buzzer, once the operator has analyzed either a warning or
an error condition.
6.1.1 Alarm Buzzer (Warning)
A beeping sound heard while a data transfer operation is in process indicates
that one of the drives has failed, but that there is at least one active drive
remaining. To acknowledge this warning condition, momentarily press the
<cancel> button to reset alarm buzzer.
6.1.2 Fast Blinking Light (Error)
A fast blinking light indicates that all of the drives have failed and that all data
transfer operations have been suspended. Whenever this condition occurs,
power
off
the unit and ensure that each of the cables is securely attached to the
target drives. Once all of the cables are securely attached, power on the unit and
monitor the status of the Power On Self Test (POST).
Note: If any of the drives fail POST, please remove the failing drives before
issuing the next data transfer command.
6.1.3 Slow Blinking Light (Error)
A slow blinking light after the data transfer has completed indicates that one or
more target drives have failed; however, at least one target drive contains a
successful duplicate. Press the <enter> button to acknowledge this condition
and reset the light status.
6.1.4 Steady Light (Done)
A steady light indicates that the previous command has completed successfully.
Momentarily press the <enter> button to acknowledge this condition and reset
the light status.
