Note: Faults in the component can be caused by faults
in the wiring harness of the VECU. A check of the wiring
harness should also therefore be made before connect-
ing a new component.
Check of the switch for the cruise control:

Disconnect the connector at the switch
for cruise control. Measurements
should be taken only on the cruise
control switch connector.

Turn the ignition key to the OFF posi-
tion.

Connect an ohmmeter to the connec-
tor pins and measure the resistance.
