WARNING
Never place a child in a child seat or on a
booster cushion in the front seat if the airbag
is activated

No one shorter than 140 cm should ever sit
in the front passenger seat if the airbag is
activated.
Failure to follow the advice given above can
endanger life.
Integrated booster cushions*

Volvo’s integrated booster cushion for the
outer rear seats is specially designed to pro-
vide optimum safety for children. Combined
with the regular seatbelts the integrated
booster cushion is approved for children
weighing between 15 and 36 kg.
Raising the booster cushion
G020808
Pull that handle to raise the booster cush-
ion.
Grasp the cushion with both hands and
push it backwards.
Push until it locks in place.
WARNING
The booster cushion must be in the locked
position before the child is placed there.
Check that:
•
the booster cushion in locked in position
•
the seatbelt is in contact with the child's
body and is not slack or twisted, and that
the seatbelt is positioned correctly across
the shoulder
•
the hip strap is low across the hips for opti-
mum protection
•
the seatbelt does not lie across the child's
throat or below the shoulder
•
Carefully adjust the position of the head
restraint to suit the child.
