continuously
System malfunction if the indicator light
flashes for 65 seconds and then stays
on continuously.

indicator light stays on or keeps flashing
after you switch the ignition off and on
again, have an authorized Volkswagen

Comes on
briefly while
driving.
Possible communication problem
between a sensor and the system. This
may be caused by interference from a
nearby radio transmitter (such as a
mobile phone or other broadcast
device) that uses the same frequency
range. The indicator light should stop
flashing as soon as you are far enough
away from the device causing the
interference.
No action required.
When the ignition is switched on, several warning and indicator lights come on briefly for a function
check. They go out after a few seconds.
