The
LAN
section shows all network settings: how the IP address is acquired (statically
or through DHCP IP address), the MAC address, the IP address and the network
Gateway.
•
The
SIP
section shows status and settings of the phone’s registration at the server
PBX.
Furthermore, here it is also possible to see the V-IP400P firmware version.
6.3 -
Network configuration (LAN Config)
Here you will need to configure the phone’s network settings. Firstly, setup how the IP
address is acquired by the phone: statically or dynamically. In case
Static IP
address is
selected, the network administrator will also have to setup the IP address, the Netmask,
the Gateway and the DNS server. If
Dynamic IP
address is selected, the DHCP server
will assign the IP address to the phone automatically. In this case you need to choose
DHCP and, if required, enter the IP addresses of the DNS servers.
NOTE
It is not required to configure the
PC port
of the V-IP400P. This port
can either operate like a switch or be connected to a device with static
or dynamic IP address (this will not affect the behaviour of the DHCP
server).
