DATA FILER
Once the operation is concluded, the usual procedure applies, as shown by the display:
pressing the [ENTER] key confirms the operation, while pressing the [ESC] key aborts the
current procedure.
8.1.5 FD COPY
The Genius allows you to copy the contents of a whole floppy disk onto another disk or into
the internal flash memory. In case of disk-to-disk copying, the system will implement a physical
copying procedure, therefore the two disks must have the same capacity. The procedure for
copying a whole floppy disk into the instrument’s internal memory is different: in this case, the
instrument will only copy the files which apply to it.
To access the Disk Copy function, from the DISK menu, press the [F5] function key; the display
will show the video page relating to this function:
The
COPY FD TO
field envisages the following copying procedures:
o
Other Floppy
: copy from floppy disk to floppy disk of the same capacity.
o
Memory
: copy from floppy disk to internal memory.
As always, use the encoder for the selection procedure.
Pressing [ENTER] will start the procedure, while if [ESC] is pressed the display will return to
the previous video page.
FLOPPY TO FLOPPY COPY
We will now see how to make a copy of one floppy disk on another.
Note that this procedure will automatically overwrite all the files present in the destination
floppy disk.
If [ENTER] is pressed from the video page described previously, the instrument will proceed
to read the disk inserted in the drive earlier.
If the drive is empty, the display will prompt you to insert the floppy disk:
