8. SYSTEM UTILITIES
121
The system utilities, found in the TOOLS section of the front panel, are accessory functions
not closely linked to the playback and recording of songs, but which are a useful backup to
the operations the Genius offers.
Unlike the functions in the REAL TIME ADJ. section, the TOOLS can only be recalled in Stop
condition.
The only exception is the PART INFO function described in point 8.5.
The TOOLS section is divided into five sections corresponding to the buttons on the panel,
as follows:
o
DISK: access to the general disk and internal memory functions (formatting, copying whole
floppy disks, etc....).
o
FILES: accessory functions relating to the files (single and multiple copy, delete, rename,
etc...).
o
MIDI: settings relating to the instrument’s general MIDI functions (Out Router, MIDI filters,
synchronisation, etc...).
o
SYSTEM: accessory functions relating to the system (display, pedal control, etc.).
o
PART INFO: information about the status of the main data relating to the tracks being
played.
