8.1.4 FD LABEL
The FD LABEL function allows the user to change the label (name) of the floppy disks inserted
in the drive. This can be useful when the user has an archive of songs on various floppy disks,
since it allows them to be identified without having to scroll through their contents in the
MAIN
PAGE
.
To activate this function, from the DISK menu, press the [F4] key associated to the
FD LABEL
field. The video page relating to this function comprises:
The
DISK LABEL
field displays the name of the floppy disk currently present in the drive.
To change the label assigned to the floppy disk, press the [ENTER] key. Otherwise, you can
press the [ESC] key to abandon this function and return to display of the DISK menu. If the
floppy disk is not inserted in the drive, the
DISK LABEL
field will be empty and the [ENTER]
button will be deactivated.

You can use the encoder (choice of letter) and the PAGE key (cursor movement) to make up
the new floppy label. This label can be no more than 11 characters long.
