Registration
The
Nomad IP
is one of the IP phones recognized by the
TeleniumIP
and
XTS IP
/
XTSc-IP
systems. Therefore, the
Nomad IP
must be registered with the system for
successful call processing. The registration is
accomplished in two phases: wireless LAN connection
establishment and MFIM/VoIP card registration.
Wireless LAN Connection
SSID is used as an identifier which means, “you are part
of the 802.11b compliant wireless network”. The
Nomad IP
should have the same SSID as the one
configured within an Access Point (AP). To setup an SSID,
refer to
“Network” on page 58
.
MFIM/VoIP Card Setup
XTS IP
/
XTSc-IP
--- The
Nomad IP
must be programmed
with the IP address of the VoIP card to initially request
registration. To setup the VoIP card IP address, refer to
“System” on page 61
.
TeleniumIP
--- The
Nomad IP
may be used in Local or
Remote mode on
TeleniumIP
systems. Its Local and
Remote settings are configured in the same way as a
wired IP phone. Refer to
“System” on page 61
.
The
Nomad IP
can be a DHCP client or may be statically
configured. Refer to
page 59
for details to set up network
configuration.
