BG Defocus
Usually when a camera zooms onto a particular object, more distant objects may appear defocused. In a chromakey, if a foreground
object gets zoomed in while a preselected background stays sharp and clear, the final composite result appears unrealistic. The
BG
Defocus
feature corrects this problem by blurring the background. The blurred area may be controlled by an external matte to produce
a layered defocusing effect. In addition, software API can be called to control the blur amount according to the camera's focus parameter
so that a dynamic defocusing effect can be accomplished. The
BG Defocus
controls are located in the
PostAmp
feature tab.
The two BG Defocus parameters are:
Blur Amount – 0~100%
Blur Mode – off, on, or controlled by an external matte (or the cutoff matte for
Vmatte HD
advanced operation mode)
