Enable Cutoff/Area Matte for the FG Chromakey
Standard Operation Mode
To enable the external matte for the foreground chromakey, click on the
Chromakey
feature tab and then Matte Generation > External
Matte > On
Advanced Operation Mode
There are two ways to enable the cutoff matte and the area matte for the foreground chromakey as shown in the picture below.
(Left) Click on Matte Generation > Cutoff/Area Matte > On in the
Chromakey
feature tab
(Right) Click on Composite - Matte Combine > Cutoff/Area Matte > On in the
ExtMatte/Composite
feature tab
Enable the Layer Matte
To use an external matte as the layer matte, simpy choose Layer in its Key Mode selection. Once selected, the external matte is used in
the layer compositing. There is no need to enable the layer matte elsewhere.

The
BG Defocus
controls are located in the
PostAmp
feature tab. Refer to
BG Defocus
for the usage and examples.
