should take some precautions, such as:

� If using this machine outdoors, use 

only suitable extension cords for 

outdoor use. Using a proper extension 

cord reduces de risk of electric shock;

� Use only extension cords with 3 

cables, plugs and sockets with earth 

connection; 

� The extension cable section must be 

proportional to the length and have 

equal or higher characteristics to the 

compressor’s power cable;

� Do not use damaged extension cords. 

Check them before using and replace 

if necessary;

� When it’s an extension cord reel, unroll 

the entire cable;

� Always unplug the extension cord 

before removing the compressor’s 

power cable;

2.3 - BEFORE OPERATING

Make sure that the compressor is 

only used by who is familiar with the 

instruction manual.

To ensure a safe operation, you must:

� Check the equipment before using 

it. Check that all the accessories are 

correctly assembled and attached to 

the machine and in good conditions. 

Never use damaged accessories;

� Make sure that the switch is off when 

you plug in the power cable. If the 

button is damaged or doesn’t allow 

controlling the compressor’s operation, 

it must be repaired or replaced in order 

to prevent an unintentional start. Do 

not use any equipment when it is not 

possible to control de switch;

� Check if the safety devices are 

in perfect conditions and working 

correctly. Never use the machine if 

any safety device is missing, inhibited, 

damaged or worn;

� The protection devices and damaged 

parts must be replaced or repaired by 

the technical assistance;

� Before inflating, check the maximum 

pressure allowed by the object to be 

inflated. For this purpose, check the 

object’s instruction manual. If the object 

is inflated with pressure higher than the 

maximum pressure allowed, it may 

burst and cause serious injuries.

Perform all the needed adjustments 

and in case of doubts ask your 

distributor for assistance.

2.4 - WHILE OPERATING

Keep other people away from 

the working area. Never use the 

compressor if animals or people, 

particularly children, are nearby.

Keep the working area clean, organized 

and well illuminated (brightness from 

250 to 300 lux), in order to reduce 

the risk of accidents. 

The control and safety devices installed 

in the machine must not be removed or 

inhibited 

Make sure that the ventilation openings 

aren’t obstructed while operating. 

Do not insert any objects inside the 

openings neither the compressor. 

Otherwise, it may overheat.   

Do not leave the compressor nearby 

heat sources. In case of very high 

temperatures, do not leave the 

compressor inside the car, especially 

during summer, once it may overheat. 

Never leave the compressor running 

without surveillance and respect all 

indications for inflating an object. It may 

burst and cause serious injuries.  

This compressor contains parts which 

may reach a very high temperature 

during operation. In order to avoid 

burns, do not touch any of these 

elements.

2.5 - MAINTENANCE 

AND CLEANING

Make sure that the compressor 

is disconnected from the 

electrical supply before carrying out 

any maintenance.

Replace worn or damaged parts 

immediately, so that the machine is 

always in a safe operating condition. 

Cleaning:

The compressor must be carefully 

cleaned after each use.  

Do not use aggressive cleaning 

products. These products may damage 

plastics and metals, compromising the 

safe operation of the equipment.  

Maintenance:

Only maintenance works described in 

this instruction manual may be carried 

out; all other works must be performed 

by an official distributor. 

Keep all the nuts and screws well 

tightened in order to ensure a safe 

operation. 

If any components or safety devices are 

removed for maintenance works, they 

must be repositioned immediately.

Use only VITO-approved tools for this 

machine or technically identical parts. 

Not doing so may result in personal 

injuries or damages to the machine. In 

case of doubt, you should contact an 

official distributor.

2.6 - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

This compressor must be repaired only 

by the brand official technical service 

or by qualified technicians and only 

with original replacement parts.
