Display settings control all graphical user interfaces, icons, and other visuals on Merlin Pro, as
described in the following table.
Menu Action
Screen Messages Specify whether you want messages to display, including
system and software notifications, warnings, and alert
messages. When lights are turned on, for example, the
message would read “Lights on,” or when saving a file,
“Saving,” as well as “Export complete” and “Factory settings
restored.”
Brightness Select the brightness level (1-10) for the LCD display and user
interface.

Select Brightness . The current level is shown inside a
square.
1. Press the Find button.
2. Rotate the Zoom wheel left for a lower level or right for a
higher level.
3. Press the Find button to set the new value. The square no
longer appears around the number.
Icons & Visuals Enable or disable the display of lights icons and panning icons,
such as lights on/off or icons indicating preview, live, or freeze
mode.
Line Markers Enable or disable vertical or horizontal line markers, which
help you focus on segments of text while in CCTV mode.
Window Markers Enable or disable vertical or horizontal window markers, which
help you focus on segments of text while in CCTV mode.
Preferred Color
Modes
Select the color combinations that are cycled through using
the Color Mode button on either the control console or the
front panel of the device. The device comes pre-loaded with
several color defaults but these can be changed. See
“ Changing Colors ” on page 30.
