Colors
Merlin elite Pro offers a range of choices in both text and background colors to provide
optimum viewing for people with certain visual conditions. Press the Color Mode button
on the front panel or the control console to cycle between full color and six color
combinations. You can choose from 31 color combinations by going to
Settings > Display
> Preferred Color Modes .
Changing Color Combinations
To change the color combinations included in the rotation of choices when you press
the Color Mode button, follow these steps:
1.
On the control console, press up on the Color Mode button while pressing the Find
button. The main menu is displayed.
2. Use the Zoom wheel to scroll right and select the Settings menu, then press the Find
button.
3. Scroll down to select Display and press the Find button.
4. Scroll down to select Preferred Color Modes and press the Find button. A black
square indicates that the color combination is enabled while a white square indicates
that it is disabled.
5. Disable one of the defaults by selecting it and pressing the Find button.
6. Enable a new color combination by selecting it and pressing the Find button. When
enabled, the color combination is included in the rotation of choices when you press
the Color Mode button. You can choose up to six color combinations.
Factory Defaults
Factory defaults, which provide commonly used color combinations, are described in the
following table. Color will always be available, but you can change the other defaults.
Name Description
Color Gives a true color representation of the image being magnified.
Black on white Provides an enhanced positive representation of the image being
magnified, providing a white background with black text. It
increases the contrast to offer crisp text images for reading.
