1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR
HANDLING THE STRAIGHT GRINDER
Read thoroughly the GENERAL SAFETY
INSTRUCTION LEAFLET enclosed with the
machine documents.
1. Before plugging in the machine, ensure that the
power supply voltage is the same as that stated on the
machine specifications plate.
2. Always keep hands clear of the cutting area. Always
hold the machine safely.
3. Always use original VIRUTEX tools. Never use defective
or damaged tools.
4. Always use cutter bits with a stem diameter suitable for
the collet to be used and adapted to the tool speed.
Unplug the machine from the electrical
outlet before performing any mainte-
nance operations.
Use only cutter bits or grinding wheels
with grip for working by hand.
The use of a face protection screen
is obligatory when working with the
machine.
Use protective gloves to work with the
machine.

3. STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Inside the box you will find the following items:
RO1156T straight grinder with Ø 6 mm collet.
• Allen key: 11 mm for the motor shaft.
• Allen key: 19 mm for the chuck collet.
4. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF
THE RO1156T STRAIGHT GRINDER
The RO1156T machine is designed for polishing small
welded or embossed metal parts.
5. ASSEMBLING AND CHANGING
THE CUTTER BIT
Disconnect the machine from the elec-
trical outlet before performing this
operation.
To change the bit (Fig. 3), block the motor shaft using
key B, unscrew the nut with key C and remove the bit.
Place the new bit in the housing and fix it in place
using the keys.
Make sure that the collet diameter
matches the stem of the bit to be used.
Use only cutter bits or grinding wheels
with grip for working by hand.
