Utilization of the Siberia freezer
Caution:
In order to increase the lifetime of your Siberia freezer, do not use the unit for more than 3 consecutive
hours. Use it at least once every six months.
Before using the pipe freezer
The instructions given below must be followed in order to avoid injuries and optimise the efficiency of
the Siberia freezer.
•
Wear gloves suitable for cold work throughout the operation.
•
Ensure that the tubes to be frozen are free of any material which may alter the action of the freezer.
Painted or rusted tubes must be scoured clean.
Observations:
Working on a deformed tube is inefficient, freezing will not take place.
•
Place a protection sheet under the unit in order to avoid damaging the floor. The melting of the ice
formed under the unit can create dripping water under the body of the unit.
•
Cut the water circulation.
•
The water in the pipes must be at ambient temperature.
Preparation of the Siberia freezer
The procedure described below enables to drain the refrigerating clamps and to ensure the proper
operation of the freezer.
•
Grasp the hoses by the refrigerating clamps and unroll them vertically.
•
Hold them in a vertical position for approximately 2 minutes as shown
on figure 1.
•
Turn on the device.
•
Wait for the two refrigerating clamps to turn white. This proves proper
operation of the freezer.
•
Turn the device off. It is now ready for use.
Warning:
If the refrigerating clamps do not ice over, do not use the device and
send it back to the Virax after-sales service.
Using the Siberia freezer
The use of the Siberia freezer is easy:
Observations:
Avoid dropping the Refrigerating clamps. The shock due to the fall creates a deformation which will
hinder the insertion of the Freezer heads.
