CHANGING/ADDING OIL
CAUTION! The generator, when new from the package, contains no oil in the crankcase. Do not
switch on the machine before added oil.
CAUTION! Every following operations must be made at engine off and the switch on position “STOP”.
Use an engine oil 4T of quality highly detergent, classified as API, categories SG, SF. An oil SAE
1DW-4D is recommended for every operating temperature, but it is better to chose the proper
type of oil based on the chart and the middle temperature of the zone.
Temperature of use Temperature of use
From -10°C to 0°C SAE 10W or 10W-30, 10W-40
From 0°C to 25°C SAE 20W or 10W-30, 10W-40
From 25°C to 35°C SAE 30W or 10W-30, 10W-40
Over 35°C and till 45°C SAE 4DW
Never dispose of used motor oil in the trash or down a drain. Please call your local recycling
center or auto garage to arrange oil disposal.
1.Place the generator on a level surface
2.Unscrew the oil cap counterclockwise
3.Put a basin under the engine in correspondence of the escape oil pipe
4.Unscrew the oil cap
5.Let all oil oozes out
6.Close the cap paying attention to place properly the gasket
