5.3 There is a problem with the system
If the voltage is higher than 15.00 V (for a 24 V system the
value is above 30.00 V), please check the voltage regulator.
If the voltage is below 13.30 V (for 24 V system the value is
below 26.60 V), please check the connections, cables and
the engine.

5.4 Printed test report
This battery tester is equipped with a print function for the test
report, which allows customers to conveniently record and
re-examine the value.
5.5 Operation
The following picture is shown after you receive the
measurement value in function 1 [BATT- CAPACITY] (battery
power):
(1) Press
<ENTER>
to query whether the report should be
printed:
(2) The unit then generates a unique code according to the
data and serial number.
(3) Press
<ENTER>
or
<ESC>
to print the report.
(4) After printing the report, you are sent to the main menu.
5.6 Setting the date and time
The battery tester has a built-in clock: when the test report is
printed, the test time is automatically recorded. The device
displays the date and time on the boot interface, as shown
below.
The date and time are displayed for about 10 seconds. Since
the device automatically jumps to the test menu selection
interface if not further operated, the user can also go directly
to the test menu selection interface by pressing the
<ESC>
key. If during the boot process you notice that the time or
date is incorrect, you can press the
<ENTER>
key to open the
date and time setting interface and set the date and time
The user can then adjust the clock according to the current
date and time. The date format is YYYY-MM-DD, the time
format is HH:MM:SS. The device is equipped with the function
to retain the switch-off time, meaning that switching off or the
next start-up operation does not affect the date and time.
6. FAQ
6.1
What is the measuring principle of this tester?
A battery gradually ages over time. The main cause is that
it can no longer produce an effective chemical reaction
due to the ageing of the battery plate surface. This is
the main reason why most batteries can no longer be
used. The International Electric and Electronic Engineer
Association (IEEE) officially considers the conductivity test
as one of the standards for testing lead-acid batteries.
IEEE Standard 1118- 1996 shows that the conductivity
test is used to test the alternating current generated
by applying an alternating current signal with a known
frequency and amplitude to both sides of the battery.
The alternating current conductance value is the ratio
of the AC signal, which has the same phase as the AC
voltage, and the AC voltage. This tester is built according
to this principle.
6.2 Is the result affected by the connection of negative
power for the vehicle?
All negative current flows influence the result.
Therefore, please disconnect the negative current
flows before testing in order to obtain accurate data.
6.3 Can this tester predict when the battery will run out of charge?
The internal resistance of the sealed lead-acid battery
is complicated. It is generated by the ohmic internal
resistance, the internal resistance of the concentration
polarisation, the internal resistance of the chemical
reactions and the interference effect caused by
charging the double capacitance. The internal resistance
component and its relative proportion change depending
on different test methods and different test times, which
may result in different internal resistance test values. And
there is no strong relationship between internal resistance
(or conductance) and capacitance of the sealed lead-
acid battery. It is therefore impossible to predict battery
life based on the internal resistance of a single battery.
However, it can be predicted that the battery life will soon
end if its internal resistance suddenly increases and its
conductance decreases.
