3. Load test at start
3.1 Preparation
If the motor is in operation, please switch it off first and turn the
key to the off position.
3.2 Operation
(1) Connect the red clamp to the positive pole and the
black clamp to the negative pole. Make sure that all
connections are well secured to ensure an accurate test.
(2) Press < >< > to select the start-up load test as shown
in the figure below:
(3) After selecting the test object press
<ENTER>
to display the
result as shown in the figure below:
As shown in the image, the current test voltage is 12.36 V,
the standard voltage is 9.6 V (in a 24 V system the standard
voltage is 16 V), and the lowest voltage is 12.30 V.
(4) Start the engine so that the tester automatically records
the lowest voltage during this process. Normally,
the battery voltage is higher than 9.6 V during this
process. (In a 24 V system, the voltage should be
higher than 16 V when starting the engine.)
(5) Press
<ESC>
to return to step (2).
3.3 Start-up load test instructions
•
The lowest voltage higher than 9.6 V (in a 24 V
system the measurement value is above 16 V)
means that the start-up load system is good.
•
The lowest voltage below 9.6 V (for a 24 V
system the value is below 16 V) means that
the system needs to be checked.
Please check the appropriate connections, cables and the
engine. The battery poles should also be checked for rust.
