Air routing between rooms
Create an interconnection for the air flow between the rooms to be
ventilated (rooms with ventilation element) and those from which air is
to be extracted.
A gap under the door leaves of the apartment door of 0.8 to 1.2 cm is
adequate. Where internal doors are tightly sealed, provide noise atte-
nuated overflow apertures in the internal walls or in part of the door
(on-site).
Sizing
7.1 Determining the pressure drop for the extract/expelled air pipework (Vitocal 160-A for
extract mode)
The Vitocal 160-A will only achieve the max. flow rate of 250 m
3
/h if
the total pressure drop Δp
Total
in the pipework is below 95 Pa (see flow
rate curve on page 11).
The following procedure is advisable for calculating the total pressure
drop in the pipework:
1.
Calculating the required air flow rate for the extract rooms and
comparing the result with the minimum flow rate according to
DIN 1946-6 (see page 24).
2.
Planning the pipework in relation to the floor plan (see following
diagram).
3.
Dividing the pipework into individual sections and completing the
form on page 32. The pressure drop values calculated in the
individual sections are shown from page 29.
4.
Calculating the total pressure drop according to the form on
page 33.
