For the Call Recorder to start recording the displayed audio level needs
to exceed the "S" sign as is the case in the example above. Adjust the
start level by pressing the soft-keys below the << and >> in the
display. It is advised to set the start level approximately three units
below the actual audio level of the dial tone.
To stop the recording the audio level needs to fall below the cross sign
("x"). Adjust the stop level with the
and
recorder keys. It is
advised to keep the stop level approximately three units above the
actual audio level the Call Recorder is supposed to stop on. For the Call
Recorder to actually stop recording the audio level needs to fall below
the set stop level for a certain amount of time. This amount of time is
called the Silence Period.

Press Back when the Start and Stop levels have been set.
When set the next menu item will be "Silence Period", which is used to
detect a remote hang-up in case there is no normal disconnect tone.

Rings to Answer
When the Input Source is on Line and the Start method is on Off-Hook
then pressing NEXT will show:
When this parameter is set to any value between 1 and 25, the recorder
will answer the telephone line by itself, as an answering machine. The
notification message is played first and then a recording is started. The
recording is stored on the disk as a normal call recording.
