MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENT, AND REPAIR
This manual describes periodic maintenance that the owner can do. However, any care that
requires special tools or technical experience should be left to Victory authorized service
technicians. Check the mower tines frequently. They must be sharp, free of nicks and cracks, and
securely fastened.
G EN ER A L W A R N I N G S F O R M A I N T EN A N C E :
•
Only qualified service personnel can carry out activities other than
operating activities.
•
Always perform maintenance on a level and solid surface in a well-lit,
clean and dry area.
•
Make sure there is plenty of ventilation. Never operate the engine of the
towing vehicle in a closed building. The exhaust fumes may cause
asphyxiation.
•
Ensure that electrical outlets and tools are properly grounded.
•
Only trained specialists with education and knowledge of the machine
and PPE safety procedures are entitled to do maintenance or service
work.
•
Be sure all moving parts on attachments have come to a complete stop
before attempting to perform maintenance.
•
Periodically tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws and check that all cotter
pins are properly installed to ensure the unit is safe.
•
Before working on this machine, shut off the engine and the vehicle
engine, set the brakes, and remove the ignition key.
•
Never work under equipment unless it is blocked securely.
•
Always strictly adhered to service intervals prescribed by the
manufacturer.
•
Always follow the maintenance schedule given in the Operator's manual
closely. Failure to do so may result in machine failure and costly repairs
or voided warranty.
•
Do not touch fluid if you spot any leaking. It is dangerous and can lead to
burns.
•
Provide adequate protection around moving or rotating parts, paying
attention to the risk of pinching.
•
Do not grease while the mower is in operation.
•
Only use genuine or equivalent parts.
•
Always use proper and good-quality tools.
