Ensure the correct type of oil is added. See also the Briggs & Stratton manual.

SAE 30: Below 40°F (4°C), using SAE 30 will result in hard starting.
◼
10W-30: Above 80°F (27°C), using 10W-30 may cause increased oil consumption. Check oil
level more frequently.
Step 7: Adjust the rear roller height
◼
Ensure the mowing height is adjusted.
◼
On both sides, untighten bolts (1) and
(2).
◼
Remove bolts (2).
◼
Hold the rear roller (4) in the desired
position.
◼
On both sides, fit bolts (2) in the most
suitable hole in the bearing holder plate
(3).
◼
Tighten all bolts, nuts.
Step 7: Adjust the skids height
◼
Raise and support the mower with
suitable wooden blocks beside both
skids.
◼
On the gearbox side, untighten nut (1)
and nut (2).
◼
Remove bolt (2) and move the skid to
the desired position for the mowing
height.
◼
Fit and hand-tighten bolt (2).
◼
Tighten both nuts (1) & (2).
◼
Repeat this action on the other mower
side.
Step 8:
◼
Check that all fasteners are tightened correctly, and all securing pins are in place.
