Assign Dial-Up Numbers
Dial-up numbers are used to redefine the identifying numbers assigned to camera stations, salvos, and tours
as a consequence of software
defaults and hardware connections. For example, if dial-up numbers are not
used to redefine video input numbers, video from camera stations will always be identified by the number of
the video input connector on the rear panel, which is the same number as the receiver address specified
using the appropriate DIP switch on a receiver printed circuit board. This would limit these identifying
numbers to 001 through 256. Using dial-up numbers, the camera stations, tours, and salvos may be
identified using any unique four-digit number. The default range for video inputs is 0001-0256, for tour
up numbers is 0301-0428 and the default range for salvo dial-up numbers is 0501-0564.
Note: Each dial-up number must be unique in the system. Dial-up numbers are used during operation; they
may not be used during programming. Operational procedures are described in
Models Vi 300X-DVC
and
Intelligent Remote Control Panels Instruction Manual X777.

The Powerplus limits the programmer to the range of numbers between 001 and 256 for camera station
identification. It may be convenient to use a number which is outside that range during operation
programming). For example, cameras in a multi-level parking garage could be numbered per the floor
number in order to organize camera numbers in a practical manner
cameras on the fifth floor might be
identified as cameras 501, 502, etc. Dial-up numbers extend the range of numbers used to identify camera
stations from 001 256 to 0001 8999.
