3. You can connect to a remote unit that is not located on the network by typing its address in the
IP
address of remote unit:
field and clicking Find remote unit.
Note: If the Select button is grayed out, the unit is password protected and you must unlock the protection to
make any changes to the settings. Proceed to step 4. If Select is available, click it and the unit will display in
the Selected unit
box. Click Refresh unit
to see the latest status.
4. If the unit displays with a lock
icon in the
Unit selection
box, it is password protected and you must
enter the password to change any settings on the selected unit.
Password Authentication
You have 2 password authentication options. You can either authenticate a specific unit, by entering its
password, or use Nucleus authentication, allowing you access to all units in the network. To authenticate a
unit, proceed as follows:
1. In
the
Unit password
field, enter the unit password and click
Add password
.
Note: The password for the unit is provided either on a sticker in the shipping box or on the CD case
2. Upon authentication, the lock icon will no longer be displayed indicating that settings may be changed.
3. Click
Select
on the lower section of the tab.
4. The unit will display in the
Selected unit
box. Click
Refresh unit
to see the latest status.
To use Nucleus authentication, proceed as follows.
1. In
the
Nucleus admin login
field, enter a valid Nucleus IP address and password and click
Login
.
2. Upon authentication, the lock icon will no longer be displayed on any of the units connected to the
selected Nucleus indicating that settings may be changed.
3. Click
Select
on the lower section of the tab.
4. The unit will display in the
Selected unit
box. Click
Refresh unit
to see the latest status.
Note: In order to install firmware, the PC and KRX-3 must be on the same IP network.
The following paragraphs describe the other tabs in the VNSetup utility.
Note: Since the Setup configuration affects the entire installation process, it MUST be configured first.
