Unit Components
This section describes the KRX-3 front and rear panels.
Panel Connectors and Indicators
The following picture shows the KRX-3 panel. Each panel component is described below.

The KRX-3’s rear panel contains the following components:
RS-232 Port:
A 5-position terminal block used for diagnostics (for service use).
Network Port:
A standard RJ-45 connector used to connect to a 100Base-T LAN/WAN. A green LED
indicates network connectivity and a yellow LED indicates data activity. Unit power can be supplied if
connected to PoE (Power over Ethernet) compliant network equipment.
Power Port:
A 2-position terminal block used to connect power (24 VAC) (if not using PoE – see above).
Channel 1 Video Output:
A mini-D-sub VGA output, standard BNC-F composite output or S-Video output is
provided for connection to a single monitor with one of those input types.
Channel 2 Video Output:
A mini-D-sub VGA output, standard BNC-F composite output or S-Video output is
provided for connection to a single monitor with one of those input types.
Channel 3 Video Output:
A standard BNC-F composite output used for connection to a monitor.
Alarm Port:
5-position terminal block. Future use.
RS422/485 Port:
5-position terminal block. Future use.
Audio:
1 pair of audio jacks. Future use.
Front Panel LEDs:
The front panel includes a blue status LED (Status) and 3 bicolor channel LEDs
(numbered 1, 2, 3). The following table describes their operation.
