 Chapter 4 - Operation

Configuring the Network Settings 

Note: Before starting, make sure that the following is accomplished:  

ƒ

 VNSetup is installed on the configuring PC\Workstation. Installation is done using the CD included.  

ƒ

  

Make sure the MAC address and password of the KRX-3 is available. Use MAC Address log provided. 

ƒ

  

Verify that the KRX-3 is physically connected to the configuring workstation via the network. 

VNSetup is used to configure network settings. VNSetup consists of several tabs. Each tab provides different 
functionality. To access VNSetup, from the desktop, double-click the Viconnet VNSetup icon. The Select tab 
screen displays. 

 

To find the KRX-3 that you want to configure, proceed as follows: 

1. Under 

Unit selection

, find the KRX-3 unit by using the drop-down list. 

2.  You can narrow your search by specifying the 

Unit type

 or 

Unit status

.  

Unit type   

Allows you to select any or all hardware connected to the network.

 

Unit status  

Allows you to select online, offline, configuration error or all hardware on the network.
