6 Maintenance

Raw water pump inspection

Every 1000 operating hours.

60  Re-install the impeller

•  The impeller should be lubricated with 

glycerin or a non-petroleum based lubri-
cant such as a silicone spray before fitting it 
into the impeller housing.

•  Fit the impeller to the pump shaft. (if an 

existing impeller is re-used, install it in the 
same position as removed).

61  Reinstall the pump cover

•  Reinstall the cover with a 

new

 O-ring.

•  Check the water filter and open the sea 

cock.
