OPERATING INCIDENTS
INCIDENT
REMEDY
The hoist will not start
The motor whines
Check the hoist power supply voltage
(check the mains power supply fuses and
electrical equipment fuses).
Check the air gap in the lifting motor.
Change the brake lining if necessary.
The hoist will not lift the load
Check that the hoist is not overloaded.
Check the hoist and motor power supply
voltage.
It will no longer restart with the load
suspended.
No voltage drop > 5 % of the nominal value
Check that the lifting motor brake is
released.
Adjust the air gap if necessary
The load slips
Check the air gap, adjust it or change the
lining if necessary
The hoist support crab will not move along
its track
Check that the track is clean (grease, paint,
etc.).
Check the roller gears (teeth). Replace
parts if necessary.
Check the voltage at the translation motor,
connections, button box.
Check that the brake is released.
The crab no longer moves.
Check the condition of the drive gear; this
is a wear part.
Only install original parts
Twice a year:
- Inspect the pulley block, the hook and its safety catch
- Inspect attachments to the crab, hoist and hook
- Inspect the attachment of the belt to the drum and the fixed point
Once per year:
- Inspection by a station approved by VERLINDE: in particular, replace dirty pulleys.
