Communications Connections

The 3016 enables ethernet or RS485 communications (optional) connections to allow
users to monitor functions, create programs and load data into the controller via
Eurotherm's iTools Engineering Studio software.

Note:

Please refer to the separate iTools Quick Start Guide for instructions on

installing iTools.

12.1

Configuring iTools Communications Settings

Before trying to connect the 3016 to iTools, it is first necessary to configure the
communications settings.

To do this:

Open the Control Panel on your com-
puter and double-click on the iTools
icon.

l

The "Registry Settings - iTools Con-
figuration" window will appear.
