1.1. Purpose of Document 

This manual instructs the technician in the installation of the I-Gate 4000 PRO 
system. Included are descriptions of necessary tools, site preparation, media gateway 
cabinet installation, insertion of cards and cables, and procedures that bring the I-
Gate 4000 PRO to full operational status. The chapters in this manual are presented 
in the order in which the procedures should be carried out. The instructions can also 
be used by the customer on-site for re-installation or troubleshooting. 

1.2. Intended Audience 

This manual is intended for the Veraz technician who is responsible for installing the 
I-Gate 4000 PRO system.
