Warning
The rear cross traffic alert does not
replace driver vision. Note that
objects that are outside sensor's
range, e.g. below the bumper or
underneath the vehicle, are not
detected.
Pedestrians, children or animals
may not be detected.
Do not reverse the vehicle by only
looking at the Info Display and
check the surrounding behind and
around the vehicle before
reversing.
Activation
Rear cross traffic alert is
automatically activated when reverse
gear is engaged.
Detection zone
The system detects vehicles moving
towards both sides behind the vehicle
at speeds from 1 mph to approx.
22 mph.
Functionality
A LED will illuminate in the relevant
exterior mirror accompanied by a
warning chime, as soon as the
system detects a vehicle in the
detection zone.
Deactivation
Rear cross traffic alert is deactivated
when a certain forward speed is
exceeded or if reverse gear is not
engaged.
The system is deactivated if the
vehicle is towing a trailer.
