Some noise or vibration from the
brake system may be apparent when
the system is active.
Do not use the system with the
selector lever set to neutral.
Engage an appropriate gear for the
corresponding speed, in order to
prevent engine stalling.
Caution
Use only when descending steep
grades while driving off-road. Do
not use when driving on normal
road surfaces. Unnecessary
usage of the dynamic stability
function, such as while driving on
normal roads, may damage the
brake system and the ESC
function.
Caution
The function may be unavailable if
the vehicle brakes overheat. Wait
a few minutes.
Activation
The system is only available for
slopes greater than 8%.
At speeds below approx. 15 mph,
press

. The system can also be
activated when the vehicle is
stationary with the engine running.
The LED in the button
ò
is
illuminated and a message in the
Driver Information Centre is displayed
to confirm the activation of the
system.
When the vehicles starts its descent,
the system controls the speed of the
vehicle; accelerator and brake pedals
can be released. The LED in the
button
ò
flashes.
However, accelerator and brake
pedal maintain operational if an
increase or decrease of the vehicle's
speed is desired.
If the system is operating, the brake
lights automatically come on.
If the speed exceeds 15 mph,
regulation is paused. The LED of the
ò
button is still illuminated.
Regulation is automatically resumed
if the speed falls below 15 mph and
the slope is greater than 8%.
Deactivation
Press
ò
again until the LED in the
button extinguishes.
If the speed exceeds 31 mph, the
system is automatically deactivated.
The LED in the button extinguishes.
Fault
In the event of a fault,

illuminates
in the Driver Information Centre.
