Lane change alert
Additional to the side blind spot alert,
lane change alert recognises rapidly
approaching vehicles from behind on
parallel lanes next to your vehicle.
The system alerts visually in each
exterior mirror when detecting rapidly
approaching vehicles from behind.
Trailer detection
If a trailer is hitched to the vehicle, the
detection area is enlarged by the
length of the trailer.
Two different length settings can be
set in the vehicle personalisation
● Maximum length: for trailers with
a length of more than 9 metres.
● Automatic length detection: the
system detects the trailer length
automatically (3 metres, 6 metres
and 9 metres).
When automatic detection has been
set, the respective length icon is
displayed in the Driver Information
Centre.
In order to enable the automatic
length detection, it may be necessary
to make a 90° turn.
The rear cross traffic alert is
deactivated, as soon as the trailer
detection has been activated.
