Standard Gobo/Color Filter Replacement
WARNING:
Users of VARI

LITE luminaires should not install or use metal gobos. The
use of metal gobos in any VARI

LITE product may damage the luminaire and could void the
luminaire’s warranty.
Parts:
Standard Gobo or Color Filter as required
Tools:
Screwdriver, #2 Phillips
Cotton gloves
To remove and replace a standard gobo or color filter:
Step 1. Disconnect luminaire AC input cable from power source.
Step 2. At head cover, turn two captive screws one-quarter turn and remove cover. (It
will remain attached by tether.) Figure 2-5 .
Note: In some cases it is easier to slide bulkhead partially out of head assembly to
access gobos/filters. To do this, use #2 Phillips screwdriver to turn captive screw one-
quarter turn and slide bulkhead upward.

Step 3. Rotate wheel until required gobo/filter is accessible.
CAUTION: Do not touch filters with bare fingers. Wear cotton gloves or other
covering while replacing.
Step 4. Using fingers, pull gobo/filter out of wheel. Figure 2-6 .
Step 5. Noting proper orientation of carrier slot, insert new gobo/filter into position
and push fully into place.
