A red emergency stop switch is a safety device which
allows the operator to stop the machine in emergency.
Test the emergency stop switch to see if a circuit
breaker turns OFF ( ) by pressing it.

Turn ON ( ) the circuit breaker.

Press the emergency stop switch.

If the circuit breaker turns OFF ( ),
the emergency stop switch is functioning
properly.
After finishing emergency stop switch tests, reset it by
turning it clockwise.
7-3 Test emergency stop system
Warning
If the circuit breaker does NOT turn OFF
by pressing the emergency stop switch,
follow the below instructions and contact
Van der Stahl Scientific.
Press a test button of the circuit breaker
as in the right illustration.
When the circuit breaker turns OFF : the
emergency stop switch may be broken.
When the circuit breaker remains in ON
position
: the circuit breaker may be
broken.
Attention
The emergency stop switch remains to be
activated unless it is reset by manually
turning it clockwise. Make sure to reset the
emergency stop switch.
Warning
When the emergency stop is used when
the pressure lever is in sponge
(vacuuming/gas-flushing) position, it goes
further down before returning to the initial
position.
If any foreign object is caught between the
seal jaws at this point, you need to remove
it from the seal area before using the
emergency stop switch.
