Installer—READ THIS FIRST
1. YOU NEED TO KNOW FROM THE
HOMEOWNER:
- The height of the unit and hearth if used;
- The thickness and type of the wall fi nish
around the appliance;
- What accessories (shelf, underbed lighting,
etc.) will be installed with this fi replace;
- The venting confi guration - 4 x 6-5/8 or 5 x 8
2. Unpack the appliance and recycle the packaging
EXCEPT THE CARTON PROTECTING THE
BARRIER SCREEN—KEEP IT!
3. Remove the barrier screen, the front window and
all items inside the fi rebox.
4. Check that you have everything, using the Pack
Content sheet. Also, check that you have:
◊ a fuel bed (packed separately)
◊ a set of liners (packed separately)
◊ Remote Battery & Wall Switch Kit RBSWK
◊ LDK HeatShift Duct Kit (mandatory)
◊ Gas conversion kit if necessary
◊ Venting accessories
◊ Electrical accessories
◊ 2200ULK—Underbed Lighting Kit (if used)
5. Carefully read the Installer’s Checklist included with
the fi replace for the installation sequence.
Please note that the following steps must be done
BEFORE the appliance is placed in its fi nal position
in the cavity since the connections are done from
the back of the appliance:

gas connections
•
gas conversion (if needed)
•
