rePLaCInG tHe BLaDe (FIG. M)

WarnInG! Before conducting any replacement, turn the switch to the OFF “O”

position and unplug the machine from the electric power supply.
WarnInG! after cutting the blade reaches high temperatures: Wait for it to cool

down before replacing it.
WarnInG! even if the blade has stopped, it is still very sharp: Use gloves to prevent

serious injuries.
WarnInG! the assembly of the blade must be carried out with absolute precision.

Incorrect assembly causes very serious danger.

When replacing the blade, proceed as follows. The operation must be carried out by

an expert; if in doubt please contact an authorised service centre.

1) Unplug the machine from the electric power supply and set the machine in cutting

off mode.

2) For correct reassembly, observe carefully the various components before proceeding.

3) Unscrew the screw ( Fig. M1) that secures the lever protections.

4) With 2 keys supplied, unscrew the screw securing the blade. Attention: the screw

has lefthand thread ; turn clockwise to unscrew it ( fig.M2 ).

5) Open the protections ( fig.M3 ), remove the outer flange and pull the blade down

(the inner flange must be mounted on the motor shaft). Be careful if there are rings

of adaptation or shimming.

8) Clean the components and the new blade.

9) Install the new blade being careful to follow the direction of rotation: the arrow of

the blade must be the same as that printed on the machine.

10) Replace the outer flange paying attention to the same shaped hole that will be stuck

on the contoured shaft of the motor.

11) Tighten the screw counterclockwise without hitting the key with hammer or other

tools ( fig. M2).

12) Replace the lever guards and secure it with the screw (Fig. M1).

13) Carefully check that all blade guards are operating properly.

14) Make sure that the blade spins freely without irregularities.

15 ) Carry out a test of unloaded run.
