5.3.
Hatch with glass cover - manually operated
For opening push the hatch cover upwards at the corresponding handle.
After overcoming the closing pressure, the hatch automatically moves
into the open position, spring-loaded.
For closing pull the hatch cover downwards at the corresponding hand-
le. After overcoming the opening pressure, the hatch automatically mo-
ves into the closed position, spring-loaded.
5.3.1.
Emergency operation (if available)
From inside:
Risk of injury from sharp-edged splinters and edges when smas-
hing in and breaking out the glass cover.
Flying around splinters also endanger people in the vicinity.
- Protect hands, face and eyes.
- Use the emergency hammer to smash the glass cover.
1. Take the emergency hammer from out the holder.
2. Break glass cover using the hammer.
3. Remove any glass residue from the hatch.
4. Leave the vehicle through the hatch.
From outside:
Risk of injury from sharp-edged splinters and edges when smas-
hing in and breaking out the glass cover.
Flying around splinters also endanger people in the vicinity.
- Protect hands, face and eyes.
- If you use foots:
Pay attention to sturdy shoes and keep calves and shins away
from frame parts.
1. Break glass cover with a suitable object, e.g. a stone.
2. Remove any glass residue from the hatch.
3. Assist people in escaping the vehicle through the hatch.

Hatch with glass cover - electrically operated
The operation of the hatch is identical to that of the hatch with plastic co-
ver - electrically operated (see
5.4.1.
Emergency operation
The emergency operation of the hatch is identical to that of the manual
hatch with glass cover (see
