Eleon Roof Hatches Introduction

1 Introduction
1.1. General
This instruction manual is intended to assist personnel in the correct and
safe operation, maintenance and servicing of the Eleon series ventila-
tion and emergency hatches (in the following roof hatches).
1.2. Use
The roof hatches are used for ventilation of the passenger compartment
in city buses, coaches or scheduled service buses as well as emergency
exit of persons in case of danger.
1.3. Statutory regulations
As European standard the ECE R107 is valid. Other national standards
may need to be considered.
The use of emergency exits in buses and coaches is regulated in terms
of position, number and size for Germany in the StVZO §35 and Annex
X, No. 5.
