Vertical steam ironing
Vertical steam ironing removes wrinkles from shirts, blouses, trousers, delicate fabrics and
other clothes on a hanger, without having to use an ironing board. This method is ideal for
small and quick touch-ups.
• Hang the garment in a safe location away from walls and furniture.
Hold the iron upright, approximately
10 cm
from the fabric (
20 cm
for more delicate
fabrics). You can hold the iron closer if the fabric in question can be ironed (dry or with
steam) at a higher temperature.
• Refer to the
Horizontal Steam Ironing
section by skipping step one.
WARNING!
Vertical steam ironing sessions should be brief. Avoid ironing vertically for too
long, as steam may collect on the soleplate and cause leaks. Alternate vertical
and horizontal ironing sessions to prevent the unit from dripping.
Dry ironing
• When dry ironing on an ironing board, do not use the
steam burst
button.
ECO mode
The ECO mode reduces the amount of steam in order to reduce the unit’s power consumption,
without compromising on the ironing quality.
• To switch to
ECO mode
, press the
Set
button. The
ECO mode
icon will light up on the display.
• To return to the normal
steam mode
, press the
Set
button again.
Switching off the unit
• Whenever you have finished using the unit, turn it off by pressing and holding the power
button for
2 seconds
.
• Always unplug the unit when you have finished using it.
WARNING!
When you have finished using the unit, it must be unplugged in order to be
completely disconnected from its power source.
Auto shut-off function (standby mode)
Whenever the unit is not used for
10 minutes
, the
auto shut-off function
automatically puts the
unit in
standby mode
for energy-saving purposes. The iron will beep 6 times and temporarily
stop heating.
• Whilst in
standby mode
, both the
auto shut-off
icon and iron indicator light will flash.
• To reactivate the iron, press the
steam burst button
. The iron will awaken from
standby
mode
and automatically start heating up again.
