Switching on the unit.
• Unlock the iron from the steam station by pressing and holding the
lock
button whilst
moving it downwards into the
unlocked
position.
Connect the power cable to a suitable mains socket.
• Press the Power button to turn on the unit. When switched on, the unit enters
steam
mode
by default. The
steam mode
icon and the iron indicator light will flash to indicate
that the unit is heating up.
• When the iron’s indicator light and
steam mode
icon stop flashing and remain steadily
lit, the unit is ready to use.
Horizontal steam ironing
The
steam burst
and
continuous steam
functions help remove stubborn wrinkles from clothing.
• Position the garment on the ironing board.
When the iron indicator light stops flashing, remove the iron from the steam station.
• To apply a
burst of steam
, double-press the
steam burst button
within less than a second.
A strong burst of steam should shoot out from the soleplate. The
steam mode
icon will
briefly flash on the display.
Tip:
• To optimise the steam flow, avoid pressing the
steam burst button
more
than 3 times in a row.
• Before repeating the
steam burst
or
continuous steam
function, wait a few
seconds for the steam to penetrate the fabric. This also allows the iron to
build up the pressure required for the next steam burst in a quicker manner.
• A full tank should last approx. 30 minutes when steam ironing, depending
on how much steam you use.
• To apply a
continuous steam
flow, press and hold the
steam burst button
and release it
after
3 seconds
. The soleplate should begin to emit a light burst of steam.
• When the iron indicator light starts flashing, stop ironing. You can resume as soon as it
stops flashing.
WARNING!
It is of the utmost importance that the iron be rested vertically on the ironing
board or the steam station’s heat-resistant platform when heating up or after use.
RISK OF BURNS!
• Do not under any circumstances attempt to steam iron any clothing that you
are actually wearing at the time.
• Never direct the steam at a person or animal.
