WARNING!
• When the unit is in
auto shut-off
mode due to the
auto shut-off function
being triggered, it is not completely turned off. Whenever you have finished
using the iron, immediately turn it off by pressing the
power button
and then
unplugging it.
•
The unit’s soleplate and surfaces indicated with this symbol can reach
very high temperatures when the unit is in use and remain hot for
some time after the unit has been turned off. Do not touch these
surfaces.
• Under no circumstances should the unit be left unattended when animals or
young children are nearby.
Automatic cleaning procedure
Once the unit has been used for
25 cumulative hours
, the
automatic cleaning
icon will illuminate
on the display to indicate that the unit needs to be cleaned. The automatic cleaning function
helps to remove impurities and limescale that build up over time inside the soleplate and the
steam outlet holes.
WARNING!
During the
automatic cleaning
process, any steam or boiling water that escapes
from the iron will be very hot. Always keep the unit a safe distance away, plus
facing away from your hands and face.
1. Make sure that the water tank is always at least half full.
2. Hold the iron over a sink or large container.
3. To start the
automatic cleaning mode
, press and hold the
Clean
button for
3 seconds
.
The iron will beep 3 times and the
automatic cleaning
icon will flash on the display. The
soleplate will automatically begin to release boiling water and steam for
2 minutes
; this
process removes mineral deposits and impurities from the tank and steam outlet holes.
4. When the
automatic cleaning
process is complete, the iron will beep 3 times and the
steam mode
icon will light up once more on the display.
5. Should you need to stop the
automatic cleaning mode
whilst the process is still in progress,
press the power button.
Anti-drip functions
This iron has been designed with an anti-drip function. When the temperature is too low, the
iron automatically stops emitting steam to avoid the risk of water leaking through the soleplate.
Empty tank detection
Whenever the unit detects that the water tank is empty during use, the tank pump will stop
automatically for safety reasons. The
Add Water to the Tank
icon will light up on the display
to alert the user to the need to refill the tank.
