Choice of detergent
The type of detergent to be used depends on the washing programme and the type and
colour of the fabric.
• Use different detergents for coloured and white laundry.
• For delicate items, you should only use the suggested programmes and special detergents (liquid
detergent, wool shampoo, etc.) specifically designed for delicate items.
• We recommend using a liquid detergent when washing dark coloured clothes and duvet covers.
• Wash woollen items using the suggested programme and a special detergent.
• Information on the programmes suggested for different textiles can be obtained from the
programme description section.
• All recommendations for detergents apply to the selectable temperature range of the
programmes.
WARNING :
• Only use detergents which have been specifically made
for washing machines.
• The use of soap powder is not recommended.
Measuring the quantity of detergent
The quantity of detergent to be used depends on the amount of laundry, the degree of soiling
and the hardness of the water.
• In order to avoid problems linked to excess foam and poor rinsing, to save money and in the end
to protect the environment, you should not exceed the quantities recommended on the detergent
packaging.
• Use smaller quantities of detergent than those recommended for small amounts of
laundry or for lightly soiled laundry.
Using fabric softener
Put the fabric softener in its compartment located inside the detergent drawer.
• Never exceed the (> max <) level mark in the fabric softener compartment.
• If the fabric softener has become less fluid, dilute it with water before putting it in the
detergent drawer.
WARNING : Do not use liquid detergents or cleaning
products other than laundry fabric softeners. These
products will help you to soften your laundry.
