Some Common Connecting Problems and Their

You are trying to
connect to a wrong
port.
Select the Address book option from the
Settings menu to check the port numbers.
You receive the following
message:
Cables are not
connected.
Check that the modem cable is connected
properly.
You are trying to
connect to a port that
does not exist in your
computer.
Check the port settings.
You receive the following
message:
The port is reserved
(some other program
is connected to it).
It is possible, that you have opened the MAWS
Terminal, minimized the window and forgotten
you have already opened it, and then tried to
open the program again.
You do not receive any
messages.
Cables are not
connected.
Connect the cables as shown in section
Establishing Terminal Connection on page 104.
Commands
