4.4 Disabling and enabling USB functionality with
DIP switch
If you install the transmitter to a location where it is necessary to limit access to configuration,
you can disable the USB functionality with a DIP switch on the Indigo201 front cover
component board.

DIP switch for setting USB functionality OFF or ON
To switch USB communication OFF or ON with the DIP switch:
1. Power off the transmitter.
2. Open the transmitter cover. See
Opening and mounting (page 15)
.
To avoid damaging the connector pins of the transmitter, pull the transmitter
cover off the base in a straight angle. Do not twist or bend.
3. Use a small screwdriver or a similar tool to change the position of the USB DIP switch to
OFF or ON.
4. When done, close the transmitter cover and power on Indigo. When the DIP switch is in
the OFF position, the transmitter USB port is inactive and it is not possible to connect
Indigo201 to Insight PC software.
