For heating installations with solenoid valves or thermo-
statically controlled valves, install a bypass with bypass
valve in order to guarantee a volume flow of at least 40%.

Installing the drain hose on the expansion
relief valve

Install a drain hose

on the expansion relief valve.

Install the expansion relief valve hose in a frost-free
environment and ensure that its routing ends in an open
drain where it is then visible.
3.
Terminate the drain hose in such a way that escaping
water or steam cannot cause injury to persons or dam-
age to electrical components.
4.
Open the expansion relief valve regularly in order to
remove scale deposition, and ensure that the device is
not blocked.
