Bottling
Bottling involves preserving food in glass jars.
A
Only use undamaged jars.
A
Fill and seal the jars in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
A
Put a maximum of five jars – ideally of the same size and each holding no more
than 1 litre – in the original baking tray and place at level
2
in the cold cooking
space, as shown in the diagram. The jars should not touch one another.

Set the
or
operating mode to 150 °C and heat until the liquid in the jars
starts to bubble (with the
operating mode this will be after about 60–90 min-
utes and with
after about 35–40 minutes).
A
Reduce the cooking space temperature to 0 °C and allow the jars to sterilise for
40 minutes.
A
Turn off the operating mode using the dial and leave the appliance door open in
the at-rest position.

Leave the jars in the cooking space to cool down completely. Finally, check that
the jars are sealed.
